Hello everyone, my name is Jumbo Idaraobong Sunday. I am from Akwaibom State, Uyo Local Government Area, and I am a 4th year Chemical Engineering student from Federal University of Technology, Minna.
I am privileged and blessed to be awarded the Heroes Help Project Lift Scholarship. Before this scholarship, my education has been faced with a lot of challenges of paying my school fees, laboratory fees, or even affording study materials and meals. Because as of last year, that was when I lost my mom, and since then it has been really difficult for me to cope up with my academics, or even cater for my basic needs.
There are times where I had to study with an empty stomach, and this made me worry on how I am going to move forward. Receiving this scholarship has made a big difference in my life, as I can now focus fully on my studies, continue my undergraduate program. It has given me a new beginning, and a positive reinforcement to pursue my dreams of becoming a renowned chemical engineer, and it has served as a bridge from where I am to where I hope to be.
Receiving this scholarship is incredibly meaningful to me, as it comes at the moment where I needed it the most. It also validates my hard work, and shows that organisations like Heroes Help genuinely support students and their families.
